Scapien, a leader in attack surface management platforms, officially announced that its board of directors named noted cybercrime author and cybersecurity expert Todd Wade to its board of advisors. Todd’s knowledge of cybercriminal operations combined with his twenty-plus years of global cyber risk management brings tremendous value to Scapien and its customers.

“Todd’s deep understanding of cybercriminal behavioral patterns and how they target businesses, and their key individuals will be invaluable in securing our customers,” said Scapien’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer – Atul Chowdhry. “I was impressed with the research in his book Cybercrime and felt his knowledge and experience will be invaluable as we evolve our attack surface management capabilities. We are excited to have Todd on our Advisory Board and look forward to working closely with him.”

Todd understands how small and medium enterprise businesses operate and brings decades of in-the-trenches executive and hands-on cyber-risk and technical, operational leadership. He has built-highly efficient global teams in both startups and mature organizations successfully. Todd has documented his extensive experience, research, and knowledge of cybercriminal activities and is the author of the book, Cybercrime, which discusses cybersecurity tactics—such as fraud and extortion, how cybercriminals operate, and countermeasures and remediations when dealing with cybercriminals. Cybercrime is available on Amazon’s bookstore.

About Scapien

Scapien was founded with the idea that only the most sophisticated organizations with strong cybersecurity teams truly test and manage their cybersecurity attack surface. Even these organizations know they need to do more. The reality is that identifying cybersecurity risks that mimic hacker behavior within an organization is a time-consuming, cumbersome, resource-intensive, and expensive endeavor.

The inability to quickly identify and remediate cybersecurity risks is a key contributor to the increasing number of worldwide cyberattacks.

The cost and cybersecurity personnel shortage means that quality attack surface management is inaccessible for most organizations. Scapien’s platform changes this market dynamic.

By continuously aggregating the latest real “hacker” techniques for both technology and employees and providing customers with comprehensive risk mitigation management, Scapien delivers a single pane of glass to view and manage organizations’ attack surfaces. The platform’s ability to integrate high levels of automation enhanced with AI results in continuously deeper, broader, and faster testing. Cyber risks are quickly identified, and the platform’s detailed remediation system allows organizations to track and mitigate risks expediently.

Scapien’s cost-effective Attack Surface Management platform allows its customers to continually improve their cybersecurity maturity model, validate and manage their security risks reducing their attack surface.
